Marcus Hyde, a celebrity photographer best known for his work with Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande, has been accused by model Sunnaya Nash of soliciting nude images in exchange for a free photo shoot. The matter came to light after Nash shared a screenshot of what is said to have been a private chat with Hyde during which he allegedly told her that she would have to send him nude images of herself in order to get a free photo shoot.

According to Buzzfeed News, Nash reached out to Hyde for a photo shoot after seeing an Instagram story he had shared on Sunday seeking subjects. Hyde reportedly asked Nash for ’simple iPhone digitals,’ which the model claims she sent him. After that, according to Nash, Hyde requested nude images of the model, which she refused to send him.

Nash originally shared a screenshot of the private chat with Hyde on Instagram, where it was removed by the platform on the basis of ‘bullying or harassment.’ Screenshots of the same conversation remain live on Nash’s Twitter account, however.

In the screenshots, a message from Hyde reads ‘Nude?’, to which Nash replies, ‘I don’t have nude photos.’

The model states in a message that she is willing to participate in lingerie and partial nudity photo shoots, to which Hyde responds that the photo shoot will be ‘2k then.’ Nash reiterated in a subsequent message that while she would be willing to participate in a nude photo shoot, she would not privately send Hyde nude images of herself.

In response to her continued refusal, the chat screenshots show Hyde responding, ‘Then don’t,’ followed by confirmation that she’d have to pay him $2,000 for the photo shoot as a result. ‘Gotta see if your worth it,’ one of Hyde’s messages read.

After receiving clarification on his alleged requirement of nude images in exchange for a free photo shoot, Nash responded, ‘Yeah you wack,’ to which the screenshot shows Hyde stating, ‘Find someone else. I’ll keep shooting celebs.’ After initially sharing a screenshot of the conversation on her Instagram, Nash allegedly received another message from Hyde with a few expletives and inappropriate language.

The conversation has gone viral in the days since Nash shared the screenshots. Hyde’s Instagram account, which has more than one million followers, has been set to private and the photographer has not made a public statement about the matter at this time.

According to Buzzfeed News, a number of other women have spoken up about similar alleged encounters with Hyde, including claims that they never received the images the photographer took of them during their photo shoots after sending him nudes.
